Thomas Warenfors & The Oversize Load

Thomas Warenfors & The Oversize Load is a Scandinavian blues-rock band fronted by Swedish-born, Norway-based guitarist and vocalist Thomas Warenfors. The band delivers sweat-soaked, high-energy live sets rooted in the traditions of Chicago blues, Texas blues, and no-frills rock and roll.

The lineup features Warenfors on lead vocals and guitar, Kjetil Saltnes on guitar, Babba Babic on bass, and Geir Johansen on drums — a tight four-piece built for the stage. Together they have become regulars at clubs and festivals across Scandinavia, including Grenland Blues & Roots Klubb and Musikkfest Oslo, earning a reputation for marathon performances that leave everything on the stage.

The Oversize Load name fits: this is a band that plays big, loud, and with the kind of conviction that comes from thousands of hours of road work. Warenfors's searing guitar work and gritty vocals sit atop a rhythm section that locks into deep, driving grooves — the sound of a band that means every note.
