Ida Bang & The Blue Tears

Formed in Stockholm in 2013, Ida Bang & The Blue Tears built their sound around frontwoman Ida Bang's commanding vocals and a tight band rooted in blues, soul and Americana. The line-up — Ida Bang on vocals, John Bernström and Leo Henriksson on guitars, Patrik Engström on bass, Leo Sund on drums and Jonas Westberg on keyboards (from 2022) — brings a polished but gritty energy to every stage they touch.

Their debut EP Come on Home / Blue Tears, Pt. 1 (2015) set the tone, followed by the full-length Possibilities (2016) and the acclaimed Good to Me (2019). The band represented Sweden at the European Blues Challenge in Italy, and has shared stages with Buddy Guy, Joss Stone and Beth Hart. In 2019 they opened for Lake Street Dive.

Beyond the band, Ida Bang founded "Ladies Got The Blues," a collective promoting women in blues music across Sweden. The Blue Tears continue to tour actively, with a monthly listener base spanning Stockholm, São Paulo and Mexico City.
