BlueNote Society

BlueNote Society is a rhythm and blues band from the Gothenburg and Kungsbacka region of Sweden. Fronted by vocalist Ida Ludvigsen, the band blends classic R&B with soul and rock influences, delivering energetic live performances that have quickly earned them a reputation on the Swedish blues circuit.

In 2026, BlueNote Society competed in the Swedish Blues Challenge, held at Restaurang Wega in Malmö. After battling through a field of approximately 20 bands during the spring qualifiers, they emerged as the winner — earning the right to represent Sweden at the European Blues Challenge 2027 in Vila do Conde, Portugal.

The lineup includes Ida Ludvigsen (lead vocals, washboard), Lars-Olof "Lollo" Johansson (guitar), Mats Johansson (drums), Ulf Janson (bass), and Annika Nylander (backing vocals, rhythm). The band is currently recording original material at Studio Sweetspot in Halmstad.
