ABOUT PÁLL RÓSINKRANS

Páll Rósinkranz (born 1974) is a prominent Icelandic vocalist and performer whose career has spanned over three decades across multiple genres, including rock, pop, gospel, and blues. Best known as the lead singer of Jet Black Joe, one of Iceland's most popular rock bands of the early 1990s, Rósinkranz has maintained a diverse and evolving musical career. Jet Black Joe burst onto the Icelandic scene in 1992, and Rósinkranz's powerful vocals quickly made him one of the country's most recognizable performers. After the band's initial run, he launched a solo career in 1996 with the album "I Believe in You," followed by releases including "No Turning Back" (2000), "Your Song" (2001), "Nobody Knows" (2002), and a self-titled album (2004). In 2014, Rósinkranz celebrated 25 years in music with a compilation album and concert. More recently, Jet Black Joe has reunited for performances in 2024 and 2025, reconnecting with their loyal fanbase. His versatility as a vocalist — equally at home with rock power, gospel soul, and bluesy grit — has made him a fixture of the Icelandic music landscape for more than a generation.
