ABOUT HÅKON KRUGE

Håkon Kruge is a Norwegian drummer whose powerful, groove-centred playing has anchored some of the country's most respected blues acts. He is best known as the driving force behind Reloaded Norway, the band that has won the Norwegian Blues Challenge an extraordinary three times — a record that speaks to the group's consistency and Kruge's role as its rhythmic backbone.

With Reloaded Norway, Kruge has represented Norway at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, competing against acts from around the world on the genre's home turf. The band's success at the national and international level owes much to his ability to lock into deep, swinging grooves while delivering the dynamic punch that separates a good blues band from a great one.

Beyond Reloaded Norway, Kruge is also a member of Guy Collins & The Groove Machine, the hard-driving outfit led by Australian-born, Norway-based guitarist Guy Collins. His work with multiple acts across the Norwegian blues circuit has made him one of the most in-demand drummers in the scene.

Kruge has additionally contributed to recordings with Heitra, demonstrating versatility that extends beyond strict blues boundaries while keeping the groove at the centre of everything he plays.

A fixture of the Norwegian blues community, Kruge continues to perform regularly, bringing a combination of power, feel, and impeccable timing to every stage he occupies.
